The Anchor Inn, Southampton

OH my, what a disappointment this pub was Lovely sunny day in school holidays, pub is located near to tourist attraction of Eling Tidal mill& picturesque boat moorings. Ideal spot for a pub to capitilise on visitors it would seem However despite painted sign stating open all day, it only opens at 4pm, does not serve food, and had run out of beers, only Strongbow, JS Smooth or lager was left One large bar, very sparse & a bit shabby, has outside seating areas Not a pub to bother visiting, not often I can say that, "Always look on the bright side", but there is none here If accessing from Marchwood side there is a £1 Toll Bridge to cross by car, and it would be an even bigger let down if you had paid a toll to find what we found [There is free car park on Marchwood side, so could walk over bridge] One star only, just so folk know I did not leave a rating
