This long-term student bar/nightclub spent a very short time under Whitbread (later Laurel Pub Company) operating as a Hogshead chain pub from around 1997 until near the start of the new millennium; and not long after had been under the "Bar: Me" chain until being sold independently after Laurel went under. It's still operating as a late-night venue to this day, despite most of the nightclubs on Guildhall Walk having been long gone.

Previously Hogshead, Bar Me and The Terrace Bar, this is a very loud, lively student bar with bouncers on the door. There appeared to be a hen party in there, a frightening spectre at the best of times. It opens late, and they serve cheap and nasty cocktails and have weekly theme nights whose sole purpose is to sell strong alcohol to those who can least afford or handle it. There was no real ale, and the atmosphere was overwhelmed with loud music. Mediocrity incarnate.
