Spitfire, Eastleigh

The Spitfire is one of two Craft Union pubs along this small stretch, this one slightly edging it in my opinion. There’s seating in the front left corner and the serving counter runs up the rear half of left-hand wall where it faces high tables that run up the centre of the pub. Raised seating is found in the front right corner and two pool tables are found towards the rear. Televisions throughout were airing muted Sky Sports while some quite loud background music was playing during a recent Thursday afternoon visit. Standard, premium and mainstream craft were all available and one of the three hand pumps was in use drawing Fuller’s London Pride. The service was friendly, but I don’t plan on returning to this road for a drink again.
