The Bell Hotel, Tewkesbury

olde worlde hotel in olde worlde part of town opposite the Abbey. the pub retains some nice features but is largely your typical open plan Greene King restaurant. it's their more expensive menu and there were some rather posh diners in the place. I think I was the only drinker here on a Saturday afternoon so hardly the place for a proper pub experience. 3 real ales, two were GKIPA and Abbott (does anyone seriously like this beer?) with one guest being Jumpin Jack Flash from North Cotswold. relaxing enough place for a drink but ultimately dull.

Magnificent building and prime location next to the Abbey. Its a hotel - so it was a hotel bar experience. Greene King IPA was spotted next to the chosen North Cotswold Brewery Mild. Unusual to have a mild on. Decent enough but nothing memorable. Visit blogged at http://bit.ly/2CBmDFM
