Pulteney Arms, Bath

Corner pub with front bar and corridor down to small lounge and out door courtyard. Friendly service, its a nice walk through the park to get here

Situated a little away from the bustle of the city centre,this pub had the feel of a community local and is housed in a fine stone building giving the interior a high ceiling and an interesting spacious interior.There is an island bar with different section surrounding it and a seperate room along a corridor with a flat screen and table and chairs.We based ourselves in a quiet section to the far side of the bar with settles and bric a brac on the window ledges.There were two fine fireplaces close by. On the ale front there was Braydon Pot Walloper,TT Landlord,Youngs Bitter,Doom Bar and Ringwood 49er while Thatchers cider was also available on handpump. I enjoyed my visit ,there was a friendly welcome and good pickled eggs to boot.Although I enjoyed my pint,a slightly more adventurous ale range would have pushed up the rating to a must visit.
