Present team are serving great food, tasty beers [ changing regularly ] but most of all offer a very hospitable welcome. I've lived locally and used the pub for many years and this is the best it's been .

Was once called the Penny Black prior to the area going through a bit of so called gentrification. This place has it's ground floor dedicated to food service and has a downstairs cocktail bar. Very over priced and full of mockney trendy types. Gets very busy and hot at the weekends but the bar staff do serve up a cocktail called "Rock Star" that is worth trying.

Excellent Food, Lovely surroundings and very good service. We waited a while for our food but we were given bread rolls, olives ect and the food was well worth waiting for.
