The Ark is a spacious L shaped pub that is sparsely furnished and was quiet when I visited early on Tuesday evening a couple of weeks ago. The long bar supports two hand pumps, but one of these was unused leaving Directors as the only ale option. There is also a standard draught selection alongside Leffe and San Miguel. Food is served from a lunch menu and main menu where dishes cost around £9. I didn’t spot any televisions, but some background music was playing and there is a pool table around to the right of the bar. I didn’t spot any regular entertainment advertised, but a karaoke night was being plugged along with live music on St Patrick’s Night which was yet to come. There is a late license until 23:30 during the week and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a large decked and paved area outside the front of the pub with seating and views across the harbour. The service was very friendly, but this isn’t a place I would actively seek out again.
