The Tally-Ho, Old Town, Eastbourne

A landmark former Kemptown Brewery pub set on a corner, with the central entrance steps having two doors side by side. These would once have led to separate bars, with the saloon to the left and (presumably) a lounge on the right-hand side, but these have been opened out into large L-shaped dining room. This part now operates as a steakhouse restaurant only, but I was kindly offered the chance to have a quick drink of the solitary draught beer, ABK lager (£3.00, half) as they weren't yet busy on a Saturday lunchtime. Not sure whether the separate Lounge Bar (formerly a function room) at the far end is still open at certain times, as previously reported.
