The Seven Sisters, Eastbourne

Unprepossessing block-like 1960s estate pub that turns out to be a bit more inviting inside (once you have worked out which doors are actually unlocked). The semi-open L-shaped layout (with a pool table at one end) is simply but tidily furnished, with a quite light interior since there are plenty of windows. I wasn't necessarily expecting to find any cask beer, but Theakston XB (£4.50) was available from one of the three handpumps.
