The Rose Hill Tavern, Brighton

I like the pub, but I've given up affording more chances to the poor beer quality, last time undrinkable (refunded). Time for the manager to move on if he ain't interested.

The Rose Hill Tavern is a back street boozer that looks as though at some point it has been knocked through into the next door property to create a pub with two bars. The right hand side is L shaped with the bar and dartboard at the front and at the rear to the left is a stage area where bands play and another dartboard. The raised left hand bar is smaller and there is a large hole in the back wall that looks onto the previously mentioned stage area. The bar supports five hand pumps, one of which was unused leaving a decent choice of Dark Star’s Hophead, Harvey’s Best, Doom Bar and London Pride. There is also a standard draught selection and Stowford Press cider. It was quiet during my Tuesday evening visit last week, but I could see that this is a reasonable boozer that I would have no problem returning to if passing.
