The Great Eastern, Brighton

Not for me - but this was due to coinciding my visit when Mr Mojo was creating the most incredible racket on his wheel of steel. No one wants to here the theme from the Pink Panther at volumes that would rattle your fillings on a Sunday afternoon. Oh, and Mr Mojo wears a turban to reinforce wacky credentials. Never heard of Funky Tonk beer before but drank at a speed to quick to appreciate to get back to civilisation.

Corner pub which was very busy on our Saturday evening visit. There is a long-thin interior, with a guy playing vinyl records near the entrance. Luckily we managed to bag a small table at the rear of the pub. It was quite dark inside with candles on the tables. The music being played was a bit too loud to be enjoyed. The crowd gathered seemed a fairly trendy one. A dog on the table next to us was still managing to make him/herself heard above the din. 5 cask ales were on - Long Man Old Man & Rising Giant, Dorking Black Noise, Only With Love The OG & Firebird Two Horses. In fact, this pub now finds itself in the Good Beer Guide, which was the reason for my visit. I may come back here. But as with the previous reviewer, I found it a bit too packed to be too enjoyable.
