The Golden Lion, Weymouth

The Golden Lion is a large pub that is one street back from the harbour. Once inside this pub has been opened out and has lots of different drinking areas which probably used to be the different rooms in the pub. There was a good choice of beers when we went in here with four real ales on the bar i had a drink of Ringwood best which was a decent drink the other beers were Smiles bitter, Flowers bitter and Worthington bitter on handpump. This pub was ok for a quick drink and it did let children in when we went in here. Pub visited 21 August 1999.

Typical big chain pub. The excellent choice of ales is more than cancelled out by the noise of the many televisions.
