There is indeed a classroom theme here with the beers on a roller blackboard. Two rooms with a basic alehouse feel. Upmarket clientele and middle-class student staff which given the area is unsurprising. Selling as many rose wines as ales - but it is... [more>]

A coaching inn in days gone by also once serving the former racecourse (now Victoria Park) on the opposite side of the road. Significantly opened out inside at some stage, but the various seating and dining areas are still distinct so it doesn't fee... [more>]
