was a quaint old village style pub owned by Mitchells, then sold to Thwaites and given a horrible soul destroying Ikea refurbishment. curiously it has now been sold on again to JW Lees. It’s a bland place to drink, but the main bar is okay and still ... [more>] |

Two rooms bar to right and games room to left with the mentioned bowling green to rear. Two Thwaites ales, Original and Bomber though you’d only this if you’d been in both bars. The Original was cold but ok (the ice cold beer sign at the bar appears ... [more>] |
