Had a mild refurb a while ago though no obvious change in decor or layout. The ale quality has gone up a notch but can still be pretty variable - very long pipes, I suspect. Slipstream another punter's order if you must come in here. Feb 2023 Little... [more>]

The Retreat is a two-roomed pub in a quiet street slightly outside of the centre of Reading. The front room is smaller with 3 tables and the bar supporting 5 hand pumps; the back room has seating for a fair few more. The pumps carry simple black and... [more>]
