The Retreat is a two-roomed pub in a quiet street slightly outside of the centre of Reading. The front room is smaller with 3 tables and the bar supporting 5 hand pumps; the back room has seating for a fair few more. The pumps carry simple black and... [more>]

Re-opened as Sip and Spin Bar. No cask ale. August 2022 Closes 3rd September. March 2022 Now run by the local(ish) Wild Weather Brewery and as such has become a craft place with some of the usual stylistic trappings. The whole interior is stripped-... [more>]
