A lively village local with an old codgers’ band playing in the back room. There are lots of interconnected rambling rooms, a curved bar counter and the place felt fairly well lived-in with character (and damp). Noted a switched off TV, dart board an... [more>]

This seems more of a hotel restaurant where you can't just turn up and have a drink. I attempted it today and a wedding had booked the place and the worker who I spoke to definitely didn't describe it as a pub.
