This oak framed building situated on the banks of the Irwell was built in 1930 to satisfy the thirst of punters at the nearby Manchester racecourse which sadly closed in 1963. The Oakwell brewery from Barnsley closed the pub in 2013 but now is open a... [more>]

Excellent well maintained pub, very friendly staff....a brilliant atmosphere!
