It's 10 years since Wittenden's review (below) but the pub seems little changed since then. There are three Downlands beers on today (of which more later) and no sign of Burning Sky, which is shame because Aurora is a fine beer. So is Downlands Eveni... [more>] |

A narrow, rambling pub in an attractive village at the foot of the South Downs. Constructed from three cottages, the pub seems to have three “cells”,the bar being in the first two, the third and much of the second being laid up for dining.Low ceiling... [more>] |
