Much-lauded old pub that comes with a rare *** CAMRA heritage listing. Slightly confusing to find your way in, go through the well-maintained garden through a rear door. A multi-roomer inside (three, I think) with no bar, you have to go via the wood ... [more>] |

Just an astonishing survivor. No bar; barrels in the window; tankards hanging above. The landlady serves you direct from the barrel. The 'public' bar has one long table piled with various stripes of egg for sale. The inner snug beyond is where the pr... [more>] |
