The Norman King was being refurbished in 2011 when it was destroyed by fire after an arson attack (the perpetrator was later jailed). The damage was too severe to allow any of the building to be saved, and it was demolished.

My first visit for several years, and despite having been forewarned that the pub is quieter than it was, it still came as a bit of a shock to find only a dozen people in at 6pm on a night when Luton Town had a home game - it used to be three or four... [more>]
