After a few weeks of closure for a £300,000 refurb, this Ex Marstons pub was reopened by JW.Lees Brewery on 14/07/23. It continues its life as a large Gastro Pub, but of course it now sells cask beers from the JW.Lees Brewery!

I wanted to like this, my final pub of a day in Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme, as I'm a fan of Holts Bitter, but there was something not quite right about it. It's a large railway pub, though why they changed the name from Platform 5 to P5 is beyond me.... [more>]
