The Pheasant is quite an impressive old coaching inn tucked away down a lane, not far from Bassenthwaite Lake. To the right-hand side of the entrance was where most of the action was on my Wednesday lunchtime visit. There are rooms to the front and ... [more>] |

An Inn with 15 rooms. The ground floor comprises a bistro, a lounge (with a serving hatch through to the bar), a 'reserved' room and a bar room. The bar room is compact with just 6 small tables but it is characterful and has a nice feel to the place.... [more>] |
