An acquaintance said “somewhat dated”, I think I might agree, fairly reminiscent of roadhouses of my youth in the late 1960s although without the pervading odour of Brown Windsor Soup. Both the service and decor however are of its time. An interior o... [more>] |

Small and well-kept roadside hotel, slightly more up-market than the average. Largely aimed at food trade, providing very nice but not cheap food all day, but retains a comfortable bar area with several real ales on offer. Extensive gardens to rear. |
