Further to Mr CAMRA's comments, the WhatPub entry would suggest that Fairfield Social Club may be turning into more of an events venue. From their page: "However it is believed that GRUB may be looking for a new venue 2019-2020 as this venue will become an event space."

It was always available for private functions but if it's going events only then I think that would be a shame. It has a rustic charm but not sure many people would want their wedding reception there!

What the review below doesn't mention is that this is also mainly an events space, so when I turned up on Friday evening I was asked by the doorman if I had a ticket. I didn't of course as it was a Techno night. He allowed me to have a look inside, but not buy a drink. I believe GRUB has now moved to Baring Street, so this may not be a pub at all now.

Not a social club in the traditional sense but a relaxed bar with cask and keg beer and home to GRUB street food stalls.
Paid my first visit yesterday to find two cask options, Pavo by Squawk and Strait Jacket by Anarchy Brew Co. Stayed for a half of each.
This was a nice relaxed place spread across two arches but opened out to give the feel of one space with different sections. A mix of bench seating in the main areas where the bar and food stalls are, and then a corner full of old sofas, armchairs, non matching lamps etc. It was a bit chilly in here but it felt cosy with the lighting and we enjoyed our stay.
Appears to be child friendly as there were a couple of families in. Various board games etc are available to play.
We didn't get food so can't comment on that but the cask ales were £3.40 and £3.70 a pint. There are loads of keg options but I didn't pay much attention to them on this visit.
I would be happy to go back and include it on a crawl of the Piccadilly brewery taps.
