An odd place, though the fact that everything seems to be guitar-oriented is not unexpected given the name. The small bar on the right near the back has five hand pumps and a number of keg taps. Four of the cask ales were from Yorkshire, and two of those from Leeds. (See photo. None over 4.5%, as a previous reviewer also commented.) Service was friendly and my half of Wensleydale Falconer was a good beer in good condition. This was my seventh pub of the afternoon and my notes were starting to get a little quirky: "Stands out from other bars on Call lane a) real ale b) nice place c) no girls." Another note perhaps more helpfully says "background music not in your face or too loud." So, I guess I quite liked it here, but maybe another visit at a more sober time of the day might be necessary.

A thin space with the counter to the right, 5 pulls, 7 kegs on back wall, fridge in corner, lots of spirits, wooden tables and chairs. Everything is stripped back to brick, ok if you like that. There’s a decent garden at the back and the beer was in reasonable condition but it’s in a fairly tacky area of the city centre especially on a Saturday night.
