Recently re-opened after a period of closure by the people behind Cafe Môr (they of the £22.50 lobster roll - which actually, given the amount of dressed crustacean present within, did represent a fair price). The interior is really small over two rooms, with the right side set for evening dining. The décor is rustic – whitewashed stone walls and basic furniture with a small hatch servery. The star is the nice garden with a view across the water to the Bladerunner-esque industrial works. Surprised to see one cask (hidden away!) and even more surprised to get an excellent drop (NBSS 4) of Brains Rev James. On a sunny day you could do a good session in garden. I’d say it’s worth the tricky trip out here, with the final section being a few minutes down a dirt track. The Coastal Cruiser bus which runs during tourist season picks-up in town about 10 minutes walk away.

This pub really is out of the way, and even isolated I would say. There is no road that goes all the way to it, as the final part of the journey has to be down a dirt track. But there is a car park when you finally reach the pub. When I visited on Sunday lunchtime, the clientele seemed to be mainly cyclists and hikers, mainly sitting outside on the picnic benches enjoying the view over Milford Haven. The interior seems fairly quaint; you enter into a small area - possibly once a public bar? with a small hatch servery with another bar around to the right. A separate room is around to the left with just a handful of normal tables and chairs and which seemed to be something of a dining room, but we were able to sit in there and just have a drink. But the main draw of this pub is the outside seating area with superb views. I also saw something in here that I hadn't seen in a pub before - swifts nesting among the pipework above the urinals in the outside gents toilet. Birds do nest in odd places, but this choice was odder than most.

There was only the one ale on - Sharp's Atlantic (£3.80 a pint) which was almost completely flat, but just about drinkable. They also had Rosie Pig cider on. On the food side, they specialised in seafood, but I didn't see anyone eating.

If you like really out of the way pubs then this one will suit you. But, based on my one visit, I don't think it's worth visiting just for the beer.
