Over 4 years since my last visit to Rothbury, I was back to try this relatively new micropub.
Reports from locals suggested that this pub may not have re-opened since lockdown. However, Facebook posts suggested it was open from 4pm each day. Sunday opening is supposed to have been brought forward to 2pm.
However, I arrived at 8:30pm on a Sunday evening to find it completely closed. Times on the door suggest that when Sunday opening was brought forward to 2pm, closing was also brought forward to 8pm. This seems a shame, as whilst I was there, two other customers approached separately, also intending to visit.
In summary, I never got to visit this time and I'm not 100% sure it has re-opened. But it's probably worth calling ahead to check, with such uncertainty.
