Very, very busy on my Friday, late afternoon visit, with two of the most useless barmaids I've ever seen trying to serve them. Try doing the job rather than yapping and playing about with your phones ladies. When I was eventually served with a pint of Wainwright it was in poor condition, but of course I couldn't get served in order to have it changed. There's a lot of teles in here, they need to swop a couple for some decent bar staff.

Rayners was very busy for a Wednesday afternoon, maybe shoppers at Bury Market over the road had all decided to visit at the same time. The bar that runs up the left-hand wall supports a standard keg range alongside Amstel and San Miguel. The three hand pumps were drawing Wainwrights, Wychwood’s Hobgblin Gold and Bank Top’s Flat Cap, the latter of which went down well. Televisions are located throughout for watching live sport. These were all on but muted in favour of background music. The toilets are located upstairs in the first-floor bar that is accessed past an astroturfed roof terrace. This was unused due to the incessant rain. I’ve been in worse high street pubs.

Visited the pub last Thursday 19/8/16 early evening. two hand pumps were on the go, we had a couple of pints of Moorhouses "Blond Witch". No probs with them, very nice well kept.

The pub itself is described as a Sports Bar, 4 or 5 screens dotted about the place. Upstairs they have an open air balcony, but as it was evening we gave that a miss. It has small speakers dotted about the open plan room, the 70's stuff playing when we were in was intrusive & wherever you sat you couldn't avoid one. Loses a few points for that.

Overall it would be worth another visit.
