A terraced self-styled cafe-bar, with a predominantly glass frontage. It has two floors, is in grey wood and dark red, and stuffed with eclectic art and ephemera. I find this place friendly and has a broad clientele base - appealing to young and old. No TV or music, apart from the din that filters in from the Pig & Truffle over the road (sadly detracting from the experience). Four real ales, ever changing, with craft and quality continental lagers. Always worth a visit.

Interesting place. A micropub as far as I am concerned but you could call it a café bar, bistro or coffee shop if you want - it makes no real difference! Excellent beer and service so it will do for me!

When is a micropub not a micropub? When (like this one) the people running it prefer it to be known as a "Continental Style Cafe Bar". For anyone who doesn't like that the Whippet Inn micropub is next door and there are three pubs across the street.
As noted below this is a roughly square shop conversion with arguably more cosy furnishings and feel than some "official" micropubs. There are no TVs, music or gaming machines, so what are the main differences between this and a declared micropub? I would say it's that they don't cater for real cider and I suspect their coffee is a better quality offering but I won't be trying out coffees in micropubs to validate that! There was a fair crowd of largely older folk in on my early Tuesday afternoon visit.
There are four hand pumps which had Dancing Duck Waddle It Be, Fyne Jarl, Exit 33 Azacca IPA and Derby All Ryed Out. I went for the Azacca IPA (£3.60) completely forgetting about the CAMRA discount. It was in good nick.
Whatever it calls itself this one is well worth a visit and is GBG 2018 listed.
