Another Crosby micropub, this time in a former Post Office branch a short walk from Blundellsands and Crosby station and the beach. This place has quite a smart set-up with nice modern etched glass windows to the front bearing the pub's name. The single room layout has modern floorboards throughout with nice old pews under the windows and a mix of chair and low stool seating throughout the remainder of the space, all serving a variety of table sizes and offering a greater volume of seating than in your standard micropub. The servery has been situated in the rear left corner and has a rough, unfinished looking counter and bar back that detracts somewhat from what is otherwise a smart interior, although the bar area is redeemed somewhat by a centrally positioned pub mirror on the bar back. The usual decor abounds, with plenty of old black and white photos depicting local scenes dotted around the walls and some high shelves running around the room display a variety of items including beer bottles, mini kegs, tankards and stuffed toys, all helping to give the place a bit more of a proper pub feel. The pub was doing a modest trade on a Wednesday afternoon, but the barman was a cheery fellow with a warm welcome for everyone.
There are five handpulls on the bar and they were dispensing four ales - Neptune Undercurrent, Fab Four Rock the Boat, Ossett Yorkshire Blonde and Liverpool Organic 24 Carat Gold - plus one real cider option. I decided to give the Undercurrent a try, as I don't recall encountering the Neptune Brewery previously, and it turned out to be a rather nice pint of stout kept in very good condition.
This place is another good addition to the local pub scene and whilst I was getting a little fed-up with micropubs at this point in my crawl, I have to say that it turned out to be one of the better examples of this type of venue. I imagine this would be a very nice spot to enjoy their fine beer if you were to arrive at a livelier time and would suggest this and/or the Liverpool Pigeon as the stand out micropubs in the local area.

There are now 5 handpumps on the bar, 4 were serving real ale and the other a cider. Its fairly airy for a micro and now has 6 tables at which to sit as well as a wall shelf opposite the bar. Its near enough to the train station and you should consider this pub if you do the Liverpool Southport line ale trail.

An excellent micropub this one, so well worth a visit. Four handpumps on the bar, where you will always find two from small local breweries. If you're lucky and they haven't sold out, you can get a locally produced pork pie and a pint of ale for £5.
The Corner Post was once the local Post Office, hence the name.
This one room pub consists of three sets of tables and chairs at the front. A small two person booth on the left handside and a set of stools and shelving along the wall opposite the bar. The pub consists of laminate flooring, reclaimed timber servery and cream painted walls.
The locals here are friendly and chatty, the sort of place you'd pop in for one on your own. They also have an extensive range of Gins. My favourite local beer is Rock the Boat Brewery from Little Crosby.
