Visited last Thursday and clocked eight hand pulls, of which three were on. One appeared to be their regular Dockyard Ale which had been renamed for Halloween as Graveyard Ale, the others being Three Brothers ThaIPA and Beartown Bluebeary. The ThaIPA was good, although I am sure when I was last in here a few years ago there was more of a selection.

Food is available and mainly pies, burgers, hot dogs and a few pub classics. Service was swift and friendly. The place was quite busy on Thursday around 5pm.

A large urban style bar, with lots of dark painted steel work and rustic timbers, along with a concrete floor. This large space also incorporated a decent sized covered patio area, on the riverside. All the staff on our visit were twenty something and were all pleasant enough. Eight pumps with five in use, serving two from Beartown, Bottley Fools Gold, Wainwright and a Dockyard beer, brewed by Wainwright. I went for the Beartown Blueberry, which was excellent, priced at £3.60 a pint.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Dockyard

One of many modern bars and restaurants in the Spinningfields development facing Salford across the Irwell. This one has a relatively sparsely furnished 'L'-shaped bar, and if there is any nautical theme this seems restricted to the looped ropes above the counter. Mind you, it also has a large west-facing riverside patio that must be a fine spot on a summer evening. Anyway, this in the middle of winter I took solace in a warming pie and mash, washed down with a pint of Stubborn Mule Li'l Napoleon pale (£3.95), all with some decent music in the background.
