Oh dear. Looks alright on approach, with a woodland surround. However this is a classic grotty estate boozer. Staple shaped interior with exposed brick walls and flagged floor. Plenty of chipped varnish and a general air of grubby decay. Which is a shame as there are one or two decent points such as the wooded beer garden and the hogsheads behind the bar. Pool and darts available. Just Doom Bar on and a dire half it was too, chucked most of it over the grass. What a waste.
