Franklins is a small corner bar that used to be called the Victory,you can still see the Victorys name in stone.
Once inside there was a small drinking area to the front which had a chunky wood table plus a few normal tables and chairs.
The room narrowed where the bar was to the right,the rear area was set aside for diners with tables laid out, there was an open kitchen to the rear of this area.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Franklins English Garden which was a really nice drink,the other beer was Brooklyn Red Ale.
The bar was very busy with drinkers at the front and diners to the rear,there was some decent background music playing.
I never had a second thought about entering this bar and i was made welcome once in here.
This would be a pleasant bar to take your wife to for a meal and have decent drink.
I was quite happy having a drinking in here.
