My alarm bells were ringing as I walked past the tacky flaming torches either side of the entrance in the small outside area that is railed off from the passing high street. Inside is a central island bar with a short front bar counter and longer rear counter, both of which support premium keg. I was accosted by a member of staff from behind a lectern who informed me that it is table service only, so I sat on one of the stools that line the front bar. The barman served my drink from behind the bar and then walked around to the front where I was sitting before taking card payment, very very odd. There are different seating areas all around the central bar and some stairs lead to the first floor, but a velvet rope denied access. My visit was on a quiet Wednesday evening when the handful of other customers were all dining. I would put this more into a restaurant than bar bracket, but I was fine to sit and drink a half whilst listening to the weirdy mood music. I’ll not be visiting here again.

Dire modern bar/gastro/wine bar. Its on two floors with a restaurant and bar downstairs and a cocktail lounge thingy upstairs. Very foodie and full of trendies acting all dull. I couldnt see any real ale so it was standard kegs. Avoid if possible.
