A large Stonegate pub just off the main square which seems to have been improved and is now one of the better examples of the type. Nicely furnished with different types of seating as you progress through the pub, with a patio garden at the rear, while at the front a large opening glazed section faces the street. It generally feels tidy and well-run. The range of ales included Proper Job, Tribute and Doom Bar, with Salcombe Gold and Hanlons Yellow Hammer and Citra to follow. Boxed ciders also available.

'Family' pub - with all that that entails (chips and cheap lager). One room and lots of Sharon's. Lacking any special atmosphere but finding the toilets can be an adventure after one or two pints...
