The Cocked Hat was a stand alone pub that was built to serve the notorious broxtowe estate.
Once inside the pub had a basic bar at the front and a smarter lounge to the rear,i have only had a drink in the bar which always had a very rough edge to it.
The pub was a Kimberley tied house and there was one real ale on the bar this was Kimberley bitter and this was a decent enough drink,there was also Kimberley mild on but this was in the keg version.
The pub went downhill fast in the late 80s and probably gained the worst reputation of any pub in Nottingham,i think it closed down some time in the late 90s after lots of trouble being caused in the pub.
This pub was for locals only.
The pub was demolished and there are now modern flats on its site.
Yet another Nottingham pub to bite the dust.
