The Riverside is a bar located next to the river Trent in the Beeston Ryland’s area next to the Beeston Canals. The pub is a former club and it still retains this feeling even though it is now open to the public. There are two main rooms, the main bar area and a separate lounge. All the pub is carpeted and has lots of tables and chairs and a lot of comfy bench style seating that I like. There are also a few tv screens and a pool table as well as a raised performance are were live music is played on Saturdays. The pub has a very old fashion/working men’s club feel but is very cosy and I was very happy having a drink here. The bar was well stocked and there were two real ales available with Rocking Rudolph and Twisted Brewery’s Rider (£3.05) being a very nice drink that had been kept in a very good condition. With its location and the large seating are outside it has a very coastal feel to it and would be good on a hot summer’s day as an alternative to a seaside bar. This one won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, especially people who are not so fond of working men’s clubs, I am however very fond and can recommend this pub, especially with a really nicely kept beer that on first glance would seem unlikely in a place like this. I will return on a sunny day.

The Riverside Bar is has its name suggests right next to the river Trent.
Once inside there is a small childrens room to the front right, the main bar is through the door facing, once insdide the bar faces in a square shaped room, there were two raised areas to the left which had views of the River Trent in full flow and looking very angry.
The seating in the raised areas was bench type, the main area had bench seating in bays with chairs, there was a pool table and darts board to the left which was between the two raised areas, there was a smaller room off the main one to the right, this room was oblong shaped.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Castle Rock Harvest Pale which was a decent drink, the other beer was GK Rocking Rudolph.
There was a TV showing Dickensons Real Deal, not really my sort of programme.
There was only one other customer in on my Tuesday dinner vist.
This is a decent bar to have drink in with great views of the River Trent,i would expect it to be very busy in the summer months.
