Alan Winfield left this review about The Anchor

The Anchor is a bare brick built pub that looks more like a private residence than a pub.
Once inside the pub had a few different rooms and these were fairly comfortable,we had a drink in the bar which was decent enough.
The pub used to be an Home Ales tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Home bitter and this was a decent drink.
The pub has now been opened out into one room and does a lot of food trade, there are now three real ales on here.
