Called in on the 19th of August mid afternoon nice hot Sunny Day not a customer in place untidy had to wait to get served did not change hand pull with no body else in the larger i had had that malty taste to it.
Which only means one thing dirty line. It was mid afternoon told as soon as the girl came to serve us there was no food.
Like a lot of bar staff she does not want to be there and just going through the motions.
Will drive past next time in the area

This is a large detached family pub and eatery. The building is in undressed brick and whilst it is reasonably modern it has character, with a front facing gable, dormer and sash windows and brick chimney stacks. It has beer patios and gardens to the front and rear, with a kid's play area and even out door table tennis facilities.
The interior has a nesting of rooms, which are all foody based really except for the bar area at the far end which has a TV (showing footy), a pool table and a dart board. This room was in white, with some wood panel, a mustard cornice and a green carpet. The main dining areas have black patterned wallpaper and some coffee coloured walls, white ceiling and patterned carpet. The smaller side area had a brick fireplace, white sofas and a TV, with footy on. The main area has a raised platform with tables on which has a hearth-like feature and a water pump too. The music was general and at a decent level. There is little in the way of We ate in the brick conservatory area at the back, which had a white ceiling and patterned carpet, as well as a 'kid's corner'. The food we had was better than functional, which is what is usually produced from this kind of establishment. The service was excellent throughout and the clientele was family based, as expected, but it was very busy early on the evening - it emptied once people had finished eating though.
Beer; usual tap stuff, witha decent enough Theakston's MILD. They did have Spekky Hen on handpull, which was a little cold.
A good example of a family pub/eatery, with outdoor activities, a separate bar area with the pub games and at least one real ale, along with a MILD. Service was really good. Pity it was so rammed.
