Internally it’s as described by Blackthorn, below. At the front they’ve constructed a wooden smoking shelter and al fresco seating area which just looks a bit sad and works as an effective ashtray. The bar was full of young families, which, given the very low average age of the staff, made it feel like kindergarten. Said staff were largely uninterested and not terribly competent – the barboy managed to throw a full pint of beer on the floor in front of a customer, making the floor slippery and the customer uncomfortable. The Bath Pizza Company branded uniforms also made them look like ommpah loompahs. There was only one ale on, Butcombe Original, which was too cold, in poor condition and inexpertly served. It was also expensive for the area. There was absolutely no pub atmosphere, the muzak was really annoying, no vertical drinking and service was incredibly slow. I really didn’t enjoy this and am not in a hurry to return.

Blackthorn _ left this review about Green Park Brasserie & Bar

Located in the old Green Park station building, this calls itself a brasserie and bar but the brasserie side of things seems to be very much at the fore. Whilst there is a bar counter with a range of hand pumps on, the seating and tables seem very much geared up for food. The first question we were asked when we got to the bar was whether we were eating, so that is clearly their emphasis.

That said, it’s a pleasant enough open, airy space and the windows at the back offer a great view of the old station concourse and there is an old black and white photo of the station in it’s heyday above the bar. The central area of the pub has chequered red and white tiles on the floor, and raised areas either side have pine wood flooring. Plasterwork is a vibrant red colour with cream woodwork, and there was some artwork for sale on the walls. Down at one end was another room with a bookcase covering the back wall. There is also live jazz several nights a week, and a musician was in the process of setting up when we were there.

Menu was typical brasserie fayre, rather than your traditional pub grub, but nonetheless we enjoyed what we had. Prices are clearly more restaurant level though with most of the starters being around the £5 - £7 mark, and many of the mains being £15 or more. Beers on tap were Butcombe and Butcombe Blond. The solitary cider was the excellent Ashton Press.
