Real Ale Ray left this review about The Thorn Tree Inn

We were quite thirsty after our walk from the Holly Bush Marehay, so a good choice of ales across seven pumps along the bar was a welcome sight. I instantly went for the Landlocked Brewery HB Extra Pale, which was excellent.
This is a traditional pub, with two lit coal fires on our visit, roughly plastered white painted walls, black ceiling beams and carpeted throughout. Another feature was the mosaic tiled floor at the entrance with the pub's name inscribed.
