Alan Winfield left this review about The Magpie

The Magpie was a 70s built estate pub that was on the corner of bradford road and butler street.
The pub had a smartish comfortable lounge and a more basic bar i had a drink in the bar and this was a decent enough room.
This pub was a Whitbread tied house and it still had its Chesters signs outside, there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Chesters mild and this was a decent drink the other beer was Trophy bitter.
Sadly this pub has been pulled down and where the pub stood there is an area of grass.
