A detached, undressed brick, Georgian-styled farmhouse looking Marston's pub and eatery, with patio area and beer garden.

The interior has two rooms to the left and right of the central entrance and served by a central serving bar. On the left there is the dining area, which is in white and wood beams, with tables laid out for food, with little candles dotted about. They did a 2 for £10 menu, but i didn't eat, so can't comment on that. The bar room is to the left and where i went. It is also in white and wood beams, with red seats. There are a few Victorian prints, as well as some carved wooden heads used as corbals for some of the beams - other than these it looked a little bare. There is a little tiled fireplace, but there was no fire. There was no TV that i saw and the music general and at a decent level. The service was fine, the clientele a few people only.

Beer; tap stuff with Hobgoblin, Banks's Bitter and a decent Banks's MILD on handpull

A nice enough pub really, and worth a pop in, especially as the other two local pubs, the Old Bush and the Green Man are nice places too.
