Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tavern
Quite a large pub, which turns out to have been a station hotel before the railway network was 'rationalised'. The interior has been partly opened out to leave a 'L'-shaped bar, but the appearance is all suggestive of faded glory. Pool table. Too quiet on a Friday night, but at least the new landlord (since May) is thinking about various options to make a go of the place. He also offered a rummage through the CD collection so that I could choose the music. Only Abbot (£3.00) available from the three handpumps. Let's hope things pick up here.
