The Mud Dock is a strange pub /Bar in that there is a bike shop downstairs, you have go up steps to get to the bar room.
Once inside there is a largish oblong shaped room which is bare boarded, the bar is on the far side of the room, the seating is normal tables and chairs.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Cheddar Ales Lads Room, which was drinkable, there was also a keg Butcombe beer on the bar.
The outside area gives great views along the River Avon
There was decent background music playing.
This seems a decent enough place, just a shame they do not stock at least one real ale.

Presumably converted from an old industrial building. Well-described by Blackthorn below and little in the pub’s overall set-up has changed; the bike shop is still downstairs and the theme still extends to the bar area, with cycles hanging from the ceiling and all that sort of palaver. The interior is light and airy with lovely views across the docks from the decked seating area overlooking Wapping Wharf plus a very unusual circular-spoked window to the rear. Seating is of the trendy but massively uncomfortable metal seat variety. Not a huge amount of excitement on the beer front, some mid-range keg offerings and no cask. One I didn’t recognise was their Mud Dock brew. I tried a half and it was a tinny nasty thing which I couldn’t finish. It’s a nice location so if you want coffee and cake I imagine it’s a winner. They could do a bit more on the beer front though, it’s trendy enough to have the ability sell something more exciting than its current offerings.

In many ways this is more of a café/bar than a pub, but nonetheless you can go in and get a pint and it’s a great spot on a summer’s evening. There’s a fantastic view from the top floor balcony looking all the way along the river from Ostrich Inn and the general hospital to down past the old Industrial Museum and the Lloyds building with all the boats in between.

Somewhat unusually, as well as being a bar/café, the ground floor of the building houses a very upmarket bike shop, and this theme continues up to the bar with a number of specimens hanging from the roof. Food is popular here as you would expect, and features an unusual selection of dishes – a bit trendier than your usual pub grub, shall we say. Service was a little slow with just one person serving at the bar, although there were various other staff wandering around.

The only beer was their own 3.7% ABV Mud Dock Bitter although they had several bottled beers chalked up on a board, and the solitary cider was a rather warm Thatcher’s Gold.
