Modern Marston's pub / restaurant operating under the Generous George brand, with the usual mix of semi-modern furniture and decor in the various seating / dining areas in an overall 'L' shape. Also has a fair number of wooden patio beer garden tables on two sides. Pedigree and Hobgoblin Gold (£3.25) available from the bank of six handpumps, with Wainwright labelled as 'Conditioning'.

The Stags Leap is a modern pub that is situated on the north side of Rugeley.
Once inside there is a large single L shaped room which is carpeted, the seating is mainly normal tables and chairs but there are a few tall tables and chairs to the left.
The pub is a Marstons tied house,i had a drink of Banks's Mild which went down well, the other beer was Pedigree.
The pub was very busy with drinkers and diners on our Saturday dinner visit.
I thought was a decent and smart pub to have a drink in.

A large, modern, purpose built, detached Marstons pub/eatery, looking a little like an alpine house in white and red. A low level building, it has really nice beer garden grounds - so family based.

The interior is in the generic style that these places have, open plan with multi-coloured plain walls; green, white, red etc, with a couple given over to flowery wallpaper. Again, as these pub have no real history, they employ old photographs of the area on the walls, which at least is a plus point, and i am pleased to say this one is no different. The service was fine and, as often is the case with pubs of this nature, they are busy with people looking for value for money dining and fizz drinks. There was background music at a decent level. It is set up for food, with a small area of comfy seats - we didn't eat, so can't comment on the food, ironic as that is the purpose of these places - we did intend to but the beer wasn't terrific on my visit, so we left.

Beer; tap stuff, with Pedigree, Banks's MILD and Marston's Fever Pitch on handpull. The Fever Pitch wasn't great.

People that like this kind of place will enjoy it i am sure. I am a traditionalist in general, but i am happy to visit such places to eat, as they are set up for dining and do do real ale. Next visit here would be to try the MILD and sit out in the garden, a big plus point for the pub - and maybe to venture to eat!
