I would just like to say thank you to the manager and staff who made us feel very welcome yesterday when we visited the pub after a funeral over the road. When we got to the pub it was packed the atmosphere was great and cheered us up, we ordered food which was really tasty,We had a long journey back home and stayed in the pub alot longer than we should of but really felt the pub was run properly and very clean and tidy .

This place is a grim shop conversion that was empty other than one other customer on my recent week night visit. The governor was friendly enough, but he did remind me a little of Al Murray’s Pub Landlord character. There is a portable TV which was off during my visit and the lone plasma screen was very grainy whilst the BBC news was on. The front window states that this place has live music and sport, but I wouldn’t be happy if I had gone to watch the football in a bar that had such poor quality viewing.
The blinds were drawn at 10pm and the shutters were half pulled down so I wasn’t sure that it was open and when I spotted the smashed glass in the door I nearly didn’t bother pushing it open.
There is a dartboard which pleases me greatly, but I felt that this is a half-arsed attempt at running a licensed premises and I would walk past if in the area again.
