Much better than I was expecting ,the pub has some decent features and very good external glazed tiling, mosaic by the traditional entrance door and attractive internal wood panelling , an impressive ceiling with lighting roses,an interesting frieze and a light walnut serving bar.
The interior splits into two halves, left to a pool table, right to a larger but darker space with a small stage and an impressive artwork of Sameul Beckett.Although the history of the pub is Irish, the interior is not themed as such and the eclectic mix of customers is anything but Irish.Creative types work in the nearby Markfield industrial estate, and the punters felt more like stage actors than serious drinkers. There are sports flatscreens in both sections ,so you may well find different match on screen on your visit. There is a juke box which will add a soundtrack.
Just the dreaded Doom Bar on handpump ,so I paid up for the Neck Oil which seemed the best beer option.Good to see a lively atmosphere created by the hipsters, the pub seemed to be flourishing yet not that intersting to any real ale fan.

Was pleasantly surprised to find this one still operating as it is situated in the wasteland between Seven Sisters and Tottenham Hale and as such is not going to get any passing trade and you need to go out of your way to find it.
Very much an Irish pub with all the usual keg suspects you are likely to find but also one lone ale pump dispensing Doombar. I wasn’t going to trust that to have a decent pull through, especially as alongside me on this Saturday lunchtime there was one bloke and his dog in, so I had a softy, especially as I had the three craft breweries functioning in Tottenham Hale to come.
Lots of screens for the sports and horse racing as you’d expect, and I hope it continues to service the local community for a long time to come. For me however, there is no need to return.
