Malden man left this review about The Oak

A double gable fronted building with claims to be of some age. You enter to find an almost island bar, it is perfectly possible to circumvent the entire pub however directly behind the bar is the on-site Brewery with all the vessels on show. The entry room area with the bar ahead has hops all over the ceiling, this continues around the different areas, a lovely side room a bit like a library, with full height wood panelling and a big fireplace with stacked logs but sadly not lit on a very cold day. No signs that it ever is. The far side felt more modern and has a few areas of booth seating.
I tried one of the house brewed beers, Oak Golden, only £3.00 but sadly a bit tired. They also had their Best Bitter, Westerham British Bulldog and Tackle plus West Berkshire Mr Swifts.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Oak

Revamped with a micro-brewery installed behind the bar since my last visit over seven years ago, the partially opened-out interior has been refurbished once again in the smart mix of traditional and modern you would expect in this well-heeled town (although the overall feel is now somewhat clinical, despite the festive decorations, apart from the attractive wood-panelled lounge off to one side). Five handpumps on the counter, offering the in-house Best Bitter and Golden (£3.60), Westerham British Bulldog, Pig & Porter Red Spider Rye and from further afield Mr Swift's from West Berkshire.
