As described by Steve, below, the pub is an integral part of the Marina complex and occupies the same building as the Italian restaurant and other catering businesses which cater for more than the Marina's clients – indeed most of the clientele seem to be Eastbourne’s yoofs . The large bar is lacking in any real character, they seem to sell more ice cream than beer and it's the sort of place I would normally avoid. There is no real ale on draft, and the bottle of Adnam's Explorer I had was drastically over-priced. It also took several attempts to obtain a glass from which to drink it due to the indolence and inexperience of the staff. Its sole selling point is its proximity to the harbour, but that may not be enough to bring me back next time I sail here, and it’s not worth making the journey from landside.

Steve C left this review about The Sovereign Harbour
The Sovereign Harbour is an imaginatively named Harvester salad and grill pub on the edge of Sovereign Harbour. There is lots of seating outside the front with great views of the harbour and boat loving drinkers will be in their element watching the yachts come in and out during the summer. Inside the pub the bar area is to the right of the entrance where a standard draught selection alongside San Miguel can be purchased and whilst waiting a quick game on the large funfair toy grab machine can be had. I must say that I found the barmaid on duty to be very polite and the Guinness that came in at £3.10 a pint was very good. The very large left hand side of the pub is for dining and it was very busy with pensioners and young families tucking into the rotisserie chicken when I visited this afternoon (Monday). The floor staff were not on the ball though as many people came in and stood at the ‘please wait to be seated’ sign for an uncomfortable amount of time – you know people are uncomfortable when they start looking around for Jeremy Beadle and hidden cameras whilst shuffling their feet. There are no TVs and the back music was low and nondescript.
To be honest this is one of the better Harvesters that I have been to as you can purchase a decent cheap pint and sit outside watching the boats as you forget that you are in a Harvester. I wouldn’t rush back, but as with the other two drinking establishments on the harbour it has its pluses and minuses.
